Russia to start work on Turkish Stream in 2017

The work on laying the pipeline Turkish Stream will begin in 2017, said Russian energy minister Alexander Novak after a meeting of the Russian-Turkish intergovernmental commission.

« The completion date is the end of 2019. Now there is a lot of preparatory work, first survey, feasibility study and project documentation, then laying the pipeline will start directly. This work will begin in 2017, » he said.

All the necessary permits to begin work on the Turkish Stream are already received, Novak said.
