The project will comprise of three facilities.
Enerdata reported that the Indonesian downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas plans to open a new tender for the development of three transport and distribution gas pipelines to ship natural gas from the Natuna offshore gas production area to the island of Borneo (Indonesia). Once completed, the proposed projects would supply the Ketapang industrial area.
The tender will be launched in 2018 and will amount close to US$1bn, of which US$550m for a first pipeline between Natuna and West Kalimantan. A second pipeline worth US$516m would connect West Kalimantan to Central Kalimantan and a third facility worth US$97m would link Central Kalimantan to South Kalimantan.
