JFE Steel will supply steel products to a consortium involved in the construction of the TAP Project. The Japanese manufacturer will serve as a subcontractor for the JV between Corinth Pipeworks and Marubeni-Itochu Steel, supplying hot coils, plates, and UOE pipes. The steel will be manufactured at facilities in the Japanese districts of Fukuyama and Keihin. The hot plates and coils will be shipped at the end of the year when they will be processed into pipes by the JV. The 878-km Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) will transport natural gas from the Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan to Europe and requires more than 526,000 tonnes of steel. It will connect with the
